In the winner's circle
Congratulations to the following two grand prize winners of the Get On Track program — a 3-day trip to the Daytona 500 NASCAR race.
Alex Livits (Atlanta, GA) and Gerald Schlatter (Louisville, KY)
Alex Livits (pictured on the right, along with manager Jay Gross) is an industrial engineering supervisor in the Southeast Region in Atlanta, Georgia. He recently celebrated his 5th anniversary with UPS in October. Alex and his wife, Inna, are expecting their first child in March, so Alex is looking forward to having another “big event” just a few weeks prior.
Gerald Schlatter is a security data analyst in the Air Group in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to winning the grand prize, Gerald also celebrated his birthday and his 12th anniversary with UPS—all in the same week!
The program was an eight-week incentive program designed to give UPSers the opportunity to set and achieve goals for healthier living. By completing the Simple Steps To A Healthier Life® Health Assessment and/or Personal Health Record (PHR) Walk-Me-Through tour, employees were eligible for weekly drawings for authentic NASCAR gear and other items from the 2008 UPS Racing Collection. In addition to the grand prize winners, over 600 UPSers and their spouses won a prize upon completion of the Health Assessment and/or the PHR. Here are just some of the many comments we received from other prize winners:
"I received the jacket yesterday. Thank you very much! I have been spreading the news to my coworkers."

Jennifer Weinstock

Don’t lose momentum
Just because the incentive is over doesn’t mean you can’t finish the race. Everyone wins when you complete the Health Assessment and fill out your PHR. These online tools are designed to help you get a handle on your current health. You’ll have a better chance of staying healthy and reducing your health risks in the future.
